To ensure that all FreeWheelers are treated fairly, we have the following policies for registration:
Site Selection at Rallies
While several of our campgrounds require you to contact them directly to pay your deposit and campsite fees, it is essential that you do not make any site requests to the park when you talk to them. The FreeWheelers host for the event will assign the sites as soon as possible after registration.
If you have mobility issues, please make a note in the “Site Requests” field of the registration form and the host will consider your need for proximity to the clubhouse when she assigns your site.
Registering for a Rally
All attendees must register through our online system, without exception. There are two ways to become an attendee:
- Register for an RV site through the standard procedure on this website.
- Register for Day Use only.
Day Use Registration
Members and guests who wish to attend a rally when they are not registering for an RV site must register through the Day Use Registration form which is included on the event page for each rally. Day Use Registration allows the member to pay their hosting fees for the event and to receive emails about the event and join in the festivities. It also allows the chapter to ensure that we do not expect more attendees than the clubhouse can handle.
We encourage you to complete your Day Use Registration as soon as you know you will be attending to relieve the host of last-minute changes. Please try to have your Day Use Registration completed at least two weeks before the event.
Booking RV Sites Before and After a Rally
If you wish to reserve additional days before or after a FreeWheelers rally:
- It is essential that you do not claim a FreeWheelers site for the rally days by contacting the park directly. All communication with the park must go through the host!
- Hosts usually assign sites one month before the rally, so waiting for your exact site assignment may result in finding no sites available for the additional days. While the rally host maybe able to assist you with site-number alignment, this assistance is up to the rally host.
- Contact the RV park directly to book those days only and register for the FreeWheelers rally days when our registration is open.
- You may have to move your rig from the direct-booked site to your host-assigned FreeWheelers rally site and you may not receive the discounted price for the pre- and post-rally dates (this is up to the park).
Booking Ahead of Time for the Entire Rally
- Again, it is essential that you do not claim a FreeWheeler site. Please be clear when you talk to the park that you are not requesting one of the chapter-reserved sites.
- Members may choose to book independently for the entire time before, after, and during the rally to ensure that they will have a single site throughout their stay.
- The site you are assigned by the park might not be adjacent to the chapter sites, and you will not receive the group discount for any days.
- You must then register for the rally using the Day Use Registration form.
- Please complete your Day Use Registration as soon as possible.
